Dantzel Cherry
Owner and certified instructor
Dantzel was first introduced to Pilates as a teenager by a ballet teacher. She pursued it further when studying dance in college at Idaho State University. She loved how it helped with her scoliosis and prevented injuries while giving more strength, balance, and flexibility. She was already a dance teacher, but knew that she had to start teaching Pilates too, to help others gain more awareness and control in their own bodies. She certified in mat Pilates in 2007, and loved the matwork so much that she began training on the equipment soon after. She became fully certified in 2013.
Dantzel is also certified as a Level 2 MELT Method® instructor. After dealing with unexplained chronic calf pain for several years, she found MELT Method to be a perfect complement to her own self-care routine, and loves sharing it with others to help them live more active, healthy, pain-free lives.
Dantzel loves working with different ages and abilities, helping each client reach their potential and honor their body. She has Pilates, yoga, barre, and dance certifications/training through PhysicalMind Institute, STOTT Pilates, ISU, YogaFit, and Progressing Ballet Technique. She loves learning more about movement and is always adding to her body of knowledge with new courses and workshops, including Injuries and Special Populations, Prenatal Pilates, and more.
Dantzel has taught for 21 years extensively throughout Idaho and Texas, and now Utah, where she is currently on the faculty at TOSH (The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital), Ballet West Academy, YogaVega, and Pilates Revolution.
She lives in Eagle Mountain where she can hike, camp, snowshoe, and cross-country ski to her heart’s content with her husband and daughter. When she’s not teaching or outdoors, she’s reading, writing, or baking.
